7You reviews the portable misting fan Aussies can’t stop raving about: ‘It’s a game-changer’

Just because Autumn is around the corner, it doesn’t mean we’re putting away our hot-weather essentials anytime soon.

Aussies know that despite the change of season, the warm temperatures and humidity can often stay put for longer than expected.

My latest obsession that I can’t bear to part with is a misting fan — which I am convinced I’ll be using throughout the year.

Shark (7You’s go-to for all kinds of homeware and beauty tech) launched the FlexBreeze HydroGo Misting Portable Fan late last year, and it’s caused some serious buzz.

It’s portable, lightweight, and can even be used without having to plug into the wall.

So whether you’re cooling down a room at home or heading on a camping trip, you can actually take this clever cooling device with you.

Usually $199.99, it’s currently on sale for just $149.99 — so consider this your sign to snap one up.

Unlike other big and bulky fans that take up considerable room, the HydroGo Misting Fan weighs just 2kg and is small and compact in size.

I’ve placed mine on top of a TV unit in the lounge to create a cool airflow when the afternoon sun creeps in.

Promising to lower temperatures by 3°C in rooms up to 20m, I love the fact that it doesn’t need to be plugged into a socket.

It simply runs on an internal battery (which needs to be charged) for up to 12 hours — it’s a game-changer.

As for the misting, it’s a saviour when the heat is in full force.

Particularly handy for space apartments, it’s easy to activate the mist and change the fan speed when needed.

It’s clear I’m not the only one who is obsessed with Shark’s HydroGo Misting Fan.

There are hundreds of rave reviews on the website with shoppers say it’s an “essential item during the hot weather”, praising it’s compact size and ability to work outdoors.

“We bought this fan for use at home and in our camper van,” says one shopper.

“The issue in the camper is there is no airflow in the van, but this fan has changed that completely, we only used it on speed 1 (it has 5 speeds) and left it on throughout the night and it provided a gentle cooling breeze which was fantastic.”

Now down to just $149.99, it’s the perfect chance to get your hands on the sought-after fan before summer rolls round again.
