The World Cup has us turning on our TVs more than ever, but if yours is lagging, colours look a little off, or images appear distorted, it’s probably time for an upgrade.

Sony has long led the charge when it comes to top-of-the-range models, and there’s a new arrival that has people talking.

The 65-inch Sony BRAVIA 7 II 65-inch True RGB Mini-LED AI 4K Google TV is the latest generation to hit the shelves here on Aussie shores.

It introduces Sony’s new True RGB technology, which uses driven red, green and blue LEDs to deliver the largest colour volume in Sony home TV history.

The result? Incredible precise colours, a wider viewing angle, and true-to-life picture quality, no matter the brightness of the room you’re in.

It’s built for a complete cinema-at-home experience too, with rich visuals and impressive audio features like improved dialogue clarity and evolved 3D Surround Upscaling.

From watching matches to tuning into your favourite series, it’s designed to completely immerse you in your living room.

As for the design, the 65-inch screen sits on the Mirage Stand hides cables, giving the screen a floating, modern finish for living spaces.

If you find yourself wondering about the tech specs, 7You’s tech expert Sonny Loudon shares his thoughts on the “must-have” TV for 2026.

It seems every TV manufacturer is leaning in hard on the RGB tech, each bringing their own expertise to the table.

Yet the unique thing with Sony’s True RGB is the way it handles the intensity of colour.

The result is an industry-leading recreation of colours. The picture isn’t just vibrant — it’s closer to real life than ever before.

This means that in reality, whatever you’re watching looks and feels a lot more immersive. The intelligent control over each pixel also gives a much better seperation between dark and light areas, meaning less haloing and better details.

In short, the picture quality is outstanding but it’s important to note that the sound on this TV is equally amazing.

Sony call it “Acoustic Multi Audio+” and it is a noticeable improvement to what you expect from a TV.

When watching movies and premium shows on this newly-launched TV, I don’t find myself craving a soundbar at all. It genuinely sounds brilliant straight out of the box.

If you’re in the market for a new 65-inch TV for a living space, I’d highly recommend Sony’s new Bravia 7 II True RGB Mini-LED AI 4K Google TV.

And for $700 off right now, it’s a steal.
